Shelton is the last American man standing in the tournament with big hitters Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul and Sebastian Korda falling in the early rounds. Shelton secured his slot in the quarterfinals after putting on a terrific showing against Fabian Marozsan of Hungary 6-4 6-3. Zverev has kept his slate clean so far in the tournament as he cruised to a straight-set win over Pablo Carreno Busta 7-5 7-6(6).
