Alexander Volkanovski versus Diego Lopes is a featherweight matchup on Saturday night in the UFC 314 fight card. Volkanovski will carry an impressive 26-4-0 record into this 145-pound scrap, which will create the next UFC Featherweight champion at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. "The Great" held this title from December 2019 to February 2024, when he lost it to Topuria. He is currently the No. 1 fighter in the UFC featherweight division.
Diego Lopes will also enter the Octagon with an impressive 26-6-0 record as he seeks to win his first UFC title. He joined the franchise in August 2021, losing to Joanderson Brito in round three via a unanimous decision. The 30-year-old fought again in May 2023, losing to Movsar Evloev via a unanimous decision. Since then, he has gone on a rampage, winning all his fights, including his last matchup against Brian Ortega in September 2024. He's certainly a threat in this fight.
