Action on the PGA Tour will slowly but surely wind back up following the conclusion of the FedEx Cup a few weeks ago. This week, players will descend on Silverado Resort in Napa, California, where the Procore Championship will take place. Check out our best bets for this tournament below.

Players on the PGA Tour will be in Napa, California this week. It’s time for the newly named Procore Championship, which was previously known as the Fortinet Championship (until 2023).

This event takes place on the North Course at Silverado Resort, as it has done since its introduction on the PGA Tour back in 2007. Current champion Sahith Theegala heads a slightly less than stellar field this week. Can the man now ranked 12th in the world defend his title?

We’re here, as always, to provide our expert betting picks and point those looking to wager on this tournament in the right direction. Let’s go!

Sahith Theegala to win outright: +1200 with FanDuel

sahith theegala

I’m finding it hard not to side with Theegala in the outright betting, I must be honest. The world number 12 ended his FedEx Cup challenge in fine form, finishing third at East Lake a fortnight ago, and if we combine that with the form he showed at this venue last season, he’s hard to ignore.

The 26-year-old really does look like a great bet at odds of +1200. I was expecting him to be a chunk shorter. Let’s face it, in this field, Theegala is absolutely one of the big dogs.

Of those in the field to have featured at this tournament three or more times since 2016, Theegala ranks number one for strokes gained: total. I just can’t ignore that.

Sahith Theegala top 10 finish: +150 with FanDuel

I’m also going to side with the defending champion to finish in the top 10 at a much shorter price of +150, which again, looks a little generous.

Not only did he win this event a year ago, but he finished sixth here in 2022. Combine this with how good he looked when battling it out for the FedEx a few weeks ago and the man who has the second-lowest average score at this tournament since 2016 goes down as an easy top-10 bet for my money.

Brendon Todd top 10 finish: +400 with FanDuel

brendon todd

I also don’t want to be sleeping on Brendon Todd this week, that’s for sure. Far from a regular winner, the Pittsburgh native is without a win since 2019 at this level, though he’s shown a liking for this venue in recent times.

Last season, Todd played his way to a very respectable sixth-place finish at Silverado, while he wasn’t far away in 2022 either, finishing T9.

It’s also fair to say that the 39-year-old has ticked along nicely of late, finishing T22 and T12 in his last two events, while he’s made the cut in each of his last five.

Considering this steady form in conjunction with his previous efforts in Napa and it's easy to conclude that in a far from top-quality field, he looks a solid top-10 bet at odds of +400.

S.H. Kim top 20 finish: +500 with FanDuel

s.h. kim

Last but not least, I’m throwing it out there that S.H. Kim is a player to bet on in the top-20-finish market, especially while odds of +500 are available. The South Korean doesn’t offer much in the way of recent form, granted, though he should fancy himself to do better at a venue where he played incredibly well last season.

A year ago, Kim finished second at Silverado’s North Course, a performance that leaves him ranking as the best player in the field for strokes gained: total among those to have played this event a maximum of two times since 2016.

Among all players in the line-up to have featured at Silverado once since 2016, the 25-year-old ranks seventh for strokes gained: off-the-tee and second for strokes gained: putting. I like those stats.
