For several editions, team USA have dominated the medal table, thanks to their vast talent pool and massive investment in sports infrastructure and training programs. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the USA won 113 medals, including 39 gold medals, putting them at the top of the overall standings.
For this 2024 edition, the USA should still be very competitive, particularly in basketball, track & field and swimming, where Americans are used to excelling. In other disciplines, the USA is no less brilliant, picking up medals left and right. Whether it's gymnastics, wrestling or shooting, American athletes are often at the forefront. With such versatility and so many internationally renowned athletes, it's hard not to see the USA topping the medal table at the 2024 Olympics.
