It’s been a long wait for the return of Premier League football with the international break and FA Cup action. So, let’s take a look at the best goal scorer bets from the midweek slate.

It’s finally time to make some Premier League soccer predictions. The most-watched soccer league in the world hasn’t been in action over the last two weekends due to international fixtures and the FA Cup, but teams return to the field on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Liverpool are cruising to the league title, and the three newly promoted sides are cut adrift in the relegation zone, yet there’s still plenty to play for with a fierce battle for European places and various managers needing to finish the season strongly to keep their jobs.

Raúl Jiménez to score anytime -- +450 at DraftKings

PL Goalscorer: Raul Jimenez

Long-haul flights and 180 minutes in the international break meant Raúl Jiménez came off the bench for Fulham at the weekend. The Mexican international should be available to start at the Emirates on Tuesday, however, and he’s a man in form after netting four times across two appearances for his country.

Jiménez quietly sits in the top 20 in non-penalty expected goals per 90 minutes, putting him ahead of Jamie Vardy, Chris Wood, and Cody Gakpo.

He’s taken 21 shots across his last six Premier League matches. Arsenal have only kept one clean sheet in their previous five home league fixtures.

Bruno Fernandes to score or assist -- +175 at FanDuel

Nottingham Forest’s defense has been steely for much of the season. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have conceded two to Fulham, two to Ipswich, and four to Newcastle across their last five Premier League fixtures, however, while Manchester United have found something resembling attacking rhythm.

Much of the Red Devils’ improvement can be attributed to Bruno Fernandes’ form. The Portuguese star has 10 goal contributions in his last seven appearances for the club and has had at least one goal contribution in six of those seven matches.

This is superb value given the production from Fernandes in the last few weeks. He’s been durable throughout his career, so the extra minutes during the international break shouldn’t be much of a factor.

Alexander Isak to score anytime -- -120 at FanDuel

Trailing only Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah in the Premier League goal scoring charts, Alexander Isak has been one of the most players in European soccer so far this season.

The Swede scored for his national team in a 5-1 drubbing of Northern Ireland in the international break, adding to his cup final goal at Wembley.

Haaland is the only Premier League player with more non-penalty expected goals per 90 minutes. While Newcastle are facing a Brentford team which has a surprising winning streak on the road, it’s worth noting the Bees are in the bottom half in expected goals conceded away from home.

Evanilson to score the opening goal -- +360 at Caesars

PL Goal Scorer: Evanilson

Scorer of the first goal in two of his last four matches for Bournemouth and 17th in non-penalty expected goals per 90, we feel confident backing Evanilson to find the net against Ipswich on Wednesday.

Bettors can get +360 on Evanilson to score the first goal at Caesars Sportsbook or take +550 on the Brazilian to find the net two or more times.

Ipswich head to the south coast with the worst away expected goals against mark in the league. They have conceded 12 goals over their last four league matches.

Dominic Solanke to score anytime -- +240 at Caesars

Dominic Solanke has taken nine shots in his last three Premier League matches without scoring. Heading into this week’s round of fixtures, he’s tied with the ninth-most non-penalty expected goals per 90 minutes with Noni Madueke and Brennan Johnson.

It’s safe to say Solanke is due. He scored against Chelsea in early December, but injuries and inconsistent form have seen him find the net just twice since then.

Chelsea’s defense remains porous. They have two clean sheets in 12 league matches, which came against the doomed duo of Southampton and Leicester.

This is a great opportunity to jump on a favorable Solanke price. It’s inevitable he breaks out of this slump sooner or later.
