What Tennis Markets Does Betsson Have?
Table of contents
Betting on tennis is very popular but sometimes it’s not easy to just bet on who is going to win the match. That’s because there are often very short odds being offered on the winner if one player is ranked a lot higher than the other. It is therefore important in this situation to be able to bet on other markets that allow you to be betting at much more favourable odds. This article will show you what markets there are available at Betsson when betting on tennis.
Outright Bets
You don’t just have the option of betting on individual matches at Betsson. It is possible to bet on who will win a tournament. If it is one of the major events such as Roland Garros or Wimbledon, these odds will be available all-year round. You can already bet on who will win the Grand Slam events next year. Take a good look at those odds and you might be able to place a bet on a player whose odds will shorten considerably by the time the final takes place.
When a tennis tournament takes place, the odds on who will win the title will always be available. They will fluctuate as the tournament progresses, so again this gives you the chance to get a bet on at odds that may well shorten as the event continues.
For the major events, you will also be able to place bets on markets such as who will win each quarter of the draw, who will win the top half of the draw and who will win the bottom half of the draw.
Match Betting
Betsson offers odds on every match that takes place in a tennis tournament. There will be plenty of matches, particularly in the latter stages, when the odds on both players are ones that are easy to bet on with a good profit possible.
As mentioned in our opening paragraph, there will be times when the odds on the favourite are extremely short, perhaps 1.1 or as low as 1.04. You might want to bet on these as part of an accumulator but singles bets aren’t going to win you a great deal. Thankfully, as you are about to read, there are several other markets that offer better odds.
Set Betting
If the win odds are way too short, set betting is a way of putting a bet on at higher odds. You could perhaps bet on Rafael Nadal to win a match against Daniel Evans by two sets to love and the odds will be higher.

Number of games in a match
This is another way to get better odds for your bet made at Betsson. There will be set numbers of games that may be played in the match, for example 19.5. You don’t have to select the winner of the match here so using our example of Nadal v Evans, it doesn’t matter who is the winner. Your choice here is whether there will be under or over 19.5 games played. The more games set by Betsson, the higher the odds are likely to be. There can also be under/over a certain number of sets in a match, this works best in best-of-five sets matches.
Handicap Betting
This is another way to increase the odds on offer to you. A handicap bet can be available for games and sets. A player can be given +2 games in a set and that will see the odds on the other player being increased. Nadal would have to win a set 6-3 or better in order to beat the handicap. Evans could even be given a set start, so for a Nadal bet to be a winner he’d have to win two sets to love or 3-1 if a best-of-five match.
Live Betting
It’s possible to bet on Betsson on tennis matches as they happen. The odds will continually fluctuate all depending on what is taking place on the court. This can see you get better odds on the player you believe will win. For example, if Nadal went a break down early in the first set of his match with Evans, the odds on the Spaniard winning will begin to lengthen. If you still believe Nadal will win, then have a bet on him at those higher odds.
Live betting also sees updated odds on the set betting, number of games in the match and who will win the next game played.
You can see therefore that there are plenty of ways to bet on tennis. Don’t for a second think it’s only the top matches that are covered. Betsson also offers odds on the lower Challenger and ITF Tours, so there is plenty to bet on.
