Manchester United are in peak form at present with a string of successive victories. Qualification for the Champions League is a distinct possibility, but first they want to get a win over bitter rivals Liverpool. It's not often in recent years that United have played Liverpool and been below them in the league table and they won't want to see Liverpool get any further ahead of them.

Klopp Mourinho Premier League

It's not been a great week so far for Liverpool. We can just about ignore the home draw with Plymouth as that was a reserve side but the loss at Southampton in the EFL Cup was more serious. Liverpool are five points behind leaders Chelsea and five ahead of sixth placed Manchester United. A loss here would severely damage their title hopes if Chelsea win at Leicester and mean a season more about staying in the top four. Away form in the Premier League has dipped a little bit in recent weeks with just two wins from their last five. Manchester United on the other hand are in the best form they've been in for years. The EFL Cup win over Hull City means they have won their last nine games in all competitons and haven't lost at home since the defeat by Manchester City in September. At Old Trafford they have won their last six games. United are again becoming a team to fear and they can get a home win in this game which is .

Anytime Goalscorer

Wayne Rooney could well make history in this game. Having already beaten Sir Bobby Charlton's England goalscoring record, he's now equalled that legends Manchester United record. One more goal will break it and former Evertonian Rooney would love it to be against Liverpool. .

He's injury-prone but when he's fit and the chances come his way, there's always the chance he's going to score a goal. He's with Bet365 to put a chance away and get on the scoresheet.

Under/Over 2.5 goals

Jose Mourinho Manchester United

Five of the last eight Manchester United home games have seen more than 2.5 goals scored in them. That's welcome news for United fans who were starved of goals for most of last season with the way van Gaal structured his team. Mourinho has introduced more attacking football with pace and that's why United are scoring more these days.

Liverpool's defence is the main reason they won't win the Premier League this season. 23 goals conceded in the league so far and clean sheets aren't a regular feature of their play. Five of their last seven Premier League games have ended with more than 2.5 goals being scored and this looks another game that could well end that way. If you think that's the way this is going to go, .
