Anthony Blackburn (C) vs. Emanuel Muniz - Welterweight Title Match
This is one of the most eagerly-anticipated rematches in the Power Slap promotion as Anthony Blackburn prepares to defend the Welterweight Title against the man he won it from in June at this very venue. ‘Babyface’ got the win via a split decision with two judges favouring him 48-47, while Muniz got one vote of 48-47, forcing the latter to relinquish the title. That victory meant that Blackburn maintained his unbeaten record in the promotion, now 3-0-1. The Michigan native has knocked out James Santamaria and Chris Thomas, while he drew against Cole Young before beating Muniz to the title.
Emanuel Muniz looked gutted by the split decision going against him in the last match and will have his chance of redemption on Friday. ‘No Love’ burst onto the scene by knocking out Mike Webster with a devastating blow in the first round on debut in January last year, marking the start of a fighter's journey to the top. Muniz holds a record of 5-3-0 and won the Welterweight title from Christapher Thomas, knocking out ‘KO Chris’ in the fifth round on Super Bowl weekend during Power Slap 6. What was evident in the previous fight against Blackburn was that Muniz got stronger as the fight went on and undoubtedly had the best round-five slap which shook his opponent. A better start here, and we could see No Love win back the title.
Our Anthony Blackburn vs. Emanuel Muniz prediction: Emanuel Muniz wins at odds of 2.20!
Bet on Power Slap 10Isaih Quinones (C) vs. Branden Bordeaux - Middleweight Title Match
Arguably the most intriguing bout on the card and one that is already being dubbed the biggest title match in Power Slap history is Isaih Quinones putting his title on the line for the first time against Branden Bordeaux. ‘Pretty Boy’ began his power slap career in the worst way possible, suffering back-to-back knockouts in his first two matches against Nicolai Solcoci and Russel Rivero. However, he worked on his technique and chin and came back with consecutive TKOs of Ryan Wallace and Wesley Drain which earned him a title shot at Power Slap 9. With a 2-2 record at the time, Quinones was a clear underdog against John Davis, but in round three, Pretty Boy delivered one of the nastiest slaps of the year, knocking the now-former champion out cold.
Former MMA fighter Branden Bordeaux made the switch to Power Slap in 2023 and enters this bout with a record of 3-0-1. The Butcher’s last fight saw him win on disqualification for repeated fouls by Branden Rhodes at Power Slap 8. However, Bordeaux put himself in the thinking of Dana White during Power Slap: Road To The Title season 2, when he faced off against Eddie Brahimir in one of the most hard-hitting Middleweight bouts ever, but after three vicious rounds Bordeaux won by unanimous decision. The pair then went eye-to-eye in a rematch at Power Slap 6 and another brutal contest ensued, with both men eating slaps over three rounds before going to the judges who scored the contest 28-28, 28-28, 29-27, forcing them to settle for a majority draw. The upcoming match between Quinones and Bordeaux is shaping up to be another slobber-knocker, between two fighters with the power the knock out any opponent on their day.
Our Isaih Quinones vs. Branden Bordeaux prediction: Branden Bordeaux wins at odds of 2.30!
Bet on Power Slap 10Damien Dibbell (C) vs. Dorian Perez - Heavyweight Title Match
The main event at Power Slap 10 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas will be the Heavyweight title match between the current champion Damien Dibbell and number-three ranked contender Dorian Perez. ‘The Bell’ enters this contest with a record of 5-1-0, including three KOs, and his two title defences since taking down Ron Bata for the belt saw him beat Nate Burnard at Power Slap 5 and Ryan Phillips at Power Slap 7. However, since flattening Phillips, Dibbell has been on the shelf, serving as a coach for Power Slap 8 and Power Slap 9, but the champ has insisted that the time away has not affected him and revealed that he is confident that Perez will not get the better of him. Dibbell has the height and reach advantage over Perez in this bout.
The challenger, fighting out of San Ysidro, California, is Dorian Perez, who also holds a Power Slap record of 5-1-0. ‘Disturbing The Peace’ is a former SBWC boxer, who made waves on his Power Slap debut in March last year when he knocked out Frank Holland with a stunning round-two blow that sent ‘The Tank’ to the canvas. That was followed by a decision-win against Darius Mata Varona, but Perez booked his spot in this title fight at Power Slap 6 where despite losing by disqualification to Brian Ellis, he soaked up his opponents’ shots almost with ease and left Ellis in a bloodied mess, albeit in defeat. Perez has proven that he has one of the sturdiest chins in all of Power Slap, but he has never faced an opponent with the sheer force Dibbell possesses, and it will be interesting to see if he can stand up to the reigning champion.
Our Damien Dibbell vs. Dorian Perez prediction: Damien Dibbell wins at odds of 1.50!
