Three Lions at Euro 2024: Odds and Sports Bets to Try on the England Team
Gareth Southgate’s England head to Germany as one of the favorites to win Euro 2024. It’s 58 years since they won the World Cup, is another major trophy finally going to be won by the Three Lions? Let’s look at the best odds available for England and bets to place on the English side.
England has a strong squad captained by Harry Kane and have a great chance of becoming European champions. It’s perhaps not the squad that most people would have picked. There’s no Jack Grealish for example but it’s still a collection of highly talented players and plenty who can turn a match around by themselves. That’s why WIlliam Hill have them at 4.33 to win the tournament.
There’s a good mixture of youth and experience in the England squad. There are five players who have over 50 international caps. Even some of the younger players have plenty of international experience. Bukayo Saka, Jude Bellngham and Phil Foden are all under the age of 25 but have nearly 100 caps between them.
Five of the starting line-up that played against Italy in the Euro 2020 (21) final are in the squad and three of the substitutes. Can England make it to a second successive Euro final? It’s 2.38 at bet365 that they make it to the title decider.
England’s form this year has been a bit inconsistent but the hope is it’ll all come together in Germany. They have a midfield and attack that will cause problems for any of the teams that they face at Euro 2024. Don’t forget to read all our Euro 2024 predictions written by our team of experts.

Euro 2024 - England’s Group Fixture List
England don’t have the toughest of groups with matches against Slovenia, Serbia and Denmark. The odds on them winning the group are 1.4 if your bet is placed with Unibet.
The top two in the group automatically go into the last 16. The four best third placed sides also go into the knockout stages, so England could qualify via that route if they run into problems.
England’s full Euro 2024 group schedule is:
- Sunday 16 June: Serbia v England - Arena AufSchalke, Gelsenkirchen
- Thursday 20 June: Denmark v England - Frankfurt Arena, Frankfurt
- Tuesday 25 June: England v Slovenia - Cologne Stadium, Cologne
The Best Bets to Place on England
Betting on England to win their group looks a good wager to place. They are 1.4 at bet365 to be the Group C winners. None of their opponents will be easy to beat but England should have more than enough to see them top the group.
Denmark are familiar opponents for England. The Danes were beaten by England in the semi-finals of Euro 2020 (21) Serbia reached the last eight in 2000 but this is the first time they have qualified for the final since then. Slovenia are in their first European Championships since 2000, their only previous appearance in the finals. They play England in the final set of group fixtures at the Cologne Stadium (seen above). England’s opening game sees them take on Serbia. They’ve only played them once before and that was 21 years ago. England won that 2-1 with Gareth Southgate in the team that night. Both sides have had some inconsistent results of late. Serbia struggle on their travels with four of their last six matches being lost. It’s 1.45 at Vbet that England win this match.
A tougher task is likely when they take on Denmark.who will be out for revenge after losing to England in the last championships. Bet365 have England as the 1.65 favorites to beat the Danes. If you want to bet on England to win the group, we recommend you place that wager before this match as the odds will drop if England win.
The 2022 World Cup saw England lose in the quarter-finals against France. The two sides could well meet again in Germany but in the semi-finals. Will we get the same kind of result if they do? It’s very possible if England defend as they did against Iceland in their last friendly. England’s defending is always an area of concern and it remains so. A bet on England and France both reaching the last four is 2.37 at William Hill.
Harry Kane remains in top form for England. He scored in the recent friendly against Bosnia & Herzegovina after coming on in the second half. You can get odds of at on Kane being the top goal scorer at Euro 2024. He takes England's penalties which is always a bonus in this betting category. The Bayern Munich striker can be backed at 6.5 with Unibet to be the top scorer at Euro 2024. Make sure you check out our Euro 2024 odds comparator on our site.
