Six Nations Rugby: Which Players To Watch Over The Final Two Rounds According to the Stats?

Ramos, Allan, Prendergast Vying For Top-Scorer Honours
Goalkicking has proven to be a challenge for teams at the 2025 Six Nations, with the overall success rate of 70% over the first three rounds marking the lowest in the tournament since the 2009 edition (67%). However, Italy have stood out from the rest this year, converting 79% of their kicks, with Tommaso Allan boasting an impressive 82% of kicks off the tee. The Italian fly-half has exceeded expectations, scoring 3.5 more points than anticipated based on the difficulty of his kicks and is currently the leading scorer in the tournament with 98 points, including 10 penalties and four conversions.
While Allan currently holds a four-point advantage in points over the rest, we feel that he could struggle to hold off the kickers of powerhouses Ireland and France. The Shamrocks and Les Bleus headline this weekend’s fixture list, set to face off at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, and here we will see Thomas Ramos and Sam Prendergast do battle off the tee. The French number 15 is second in points scored charts with 34, while the Irish fly-half is just two points behind him on 32. However, we are giving the Frenchman the edge in this race, given that he will be operating from full-back this weekend and thus has a better chance of crossing the whitewash from open play for Les Bleus. Additionally, Ramos is almost a sure-winner for the successful conversions race with 14, 10 more than any other player in the Championship.

Jones To Battle Bielle-Biarrey For Most Tries
Louis Bielle-Biarrey is having another sensational season in the Six Nations, and the 21-year-old Bordeaux-Begles winger is currently leading the standings for the most tries scored in the competition with five to his name. The French number 11 has been directly involved in 9 tries in this year's Six Nations (5 tries, 4 assists), the joint most by any player in a single edition of the tournament, and will undoubtedly have his sights set on the tournament record of seven tries set by Jacob Stockadale back in 2018.
The major threat to Bielle-Biarrey finishing as the tournament’s top try-scorer is Scotland’s Huw Jones, who, along with Duhan van der Merwe, is currently tied on 16 Six Nations Championship tries - level with Stuart Hogg’s record, after scoring four over the first three rounds of the competition. Jones has the favourable fixture this week against a free-falling Wales, who have lost 15 Test matches in a row, and his performances in the tournament to date are likely to have attracted the attention of British & Irish Lions head coach Andy Farrell.

Dupont Continues To Pull The Strings in Assists Race
France certainly missed Antoine Dupont last year, but he has been pivotal in their title bid this season, contributing eight direct try involvements (two tries and six assists), second only to his teammate Bielle-Biarrey. Dupont’s pinpoint assist for Theo Attissogbe’s try in the 43-0 demolition of Wales highlights his exceptional decision-making and accuracy, underscoring what sets him apart from most scrum-halves in world rugby.
Bielle-Biarrey and Lowe are tied on four assists apiece and are still in the running to challenge the Toulouse maestro, but for us, the widely considered “Best Player in the World” will not be for the catching in the total assists column this season, especially if he outdoes his counterpart, Ireland's number nine Jamison Gibson-Park in Dublin on Saturday afternoon.

Kinghorn Not For The Catching In the Running Game
While Huw Jones has been exceptional this year, Scotland’s standout player in this season’s Six Nations for us has been Blair Kinghorn. He has racked up 58 carries for 500.3 meters and gained the Bravehearts 371 meters, leading all players in the above categories in the Championship. His preference for running over kicking - having only put the ball to boot six times - illustrates his willingness to put in the hard yards and justifies his lead of eight over Gregory Alldritt in the carries standings.
Kinghorn, who plays for Scarlets, will start at full-back this weekend against the Dragons, giving him even more freedom to stretch his legs and create from deep, and he will undoubtedly fancy his chances of crossing the gainline with regularity against a Welsh side that has struggled defensively over the last year.
