With the preseason now in the rearview mirror, the 2024-25 NBA regular season is within touching distance, and anticipation is building for what is shaping up to be another thrilling battle on the hardwood. Below, we will recap all the key dates for the upcoming season to look forward to.

Season Tip-Off: NBA 2024-25 Opening Day

Celtics

The 2024-25 NBA regular season will get underway on October 23, 2024, and will run until April 13, 2025. There are two matches scheduled for Opening Day, kicking off with the defending champions Boston Celtics taking on the New York Knicks.

The second match of the day will feature the Los Angeles Lakers playing host to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and this match could see a piece of history being made. The Lakers drafted four-time champion and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer LeBron James’ eldest son Bronny James in the preseason, and Opening Day could see the two become the first-ever father-son duo to grace the court together.
