Champions League : Real and Juventus Heading for Wales
The Champions League semi-final second legs take place this week and for many it looks a foregone conclusion what the final will be. Real Madrid take a 3-0 lead to Atletico and Juventus host Monaco with a 2-0 lead from the first leg.
Real Can Finish the Job
Real Madrid are bidding to become the first side to retain the Champions League and can win the second leg at Atletico. They are closing in on the La Liga title too and scoring plenty of goals at present. Ronaldo is in great form with that first-leg hat-trick and Real have won their last nine away games scoring at least twice in each of them. Atletico have to push forward in this game and that will cause welcome gaps at the back for Ronaldo and company to exploit. Go for the away win which is .
Turin Battle for Monaco
Juventus are another side in great form and they haven’t lost at home since August 2015. Already 2-0 up from the away leg, the Italian side can get the win at home in the second leg. It doesn’t matter that Monaco are prolific scorers, they couldn’t muster a goal in the first leg could they? Nor could Barcelona in two games against Juventus. Monaco continually concede goals in their away legs so Juventus can get the win and that’s .
Europa League : serenity for United, rain of goals at Parc OL ?
United Too Strong at Home
The loss at Arsenal on Sunday means the Europa League is probably the best chance for Manchester United to reach next season’s Champions League. They lead this tie 1-0 and have a great record at home this season with no loss since September. Celta Vigo have to come forward but are in poor form with five straight losses and just one goal. United can get a convincing home win here and the odds at Bet365 are .
Goals Galore in Lyon
Lyon face an almighty task if they want to qualify for the Europa League final. Their away form in this competition has been shaky but never as bad as the 4-1 defeat they suffered at Ajax in the first leg of this semi-final. This tie is far from over though because Ajax have failed to win any of their last five away Europa League games.
Lyon have it all to do if they do want to qualify and keeping a clean sheet is vital. Their last three home Europa League games have seen them score 13 goals and they need to find that form here with at least three needed to give them any hope of reaching the final. The best bet here though is for both teams to score and the statistics definitely prove that. Seven of the last ten Ajax games have seen both teams score and it’s five out of six in away games For Lyon it’s 10 out of the last 12 with both sides hitting the back of the net. A bet on both teams to score is .
