Two home wins look the order of the day for the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals. That can give us a decent win too.
If I were to bet £250 with Bet365 on my win double then the return would be a tasty £596.60, that's odds of .
Why this bet should be a winner
- Bayern Munich v Atletico Madrid
Bayern Munich will be happy that they went to Madrid for the first leg and came back with just a one goal deficit. They have a great record at home in the Champions League this season winning all of their home matches. The only real blemish on their record is that it took extra time to get the better of Juventus in the last 16. So far this season they have scored 19 goals at home in the Champions League, the only time they failed to score four times in a home tie was when they beat Benfica 1-0 at home in the quarter final first leg. That win over Benfica made it 11 Champion League home wins in a row, another here equals Manchester United's record of 12. Atletico Madrid have that goal lead and will be desperate to add a possibly vital away goal. I'm certainly not expecting a goal glut here (though you never know with Bayern) but Atletico's away form isn't that fantastic in the Champions League this season. They have two wins (both in the group stages), two draws (against Astana and PSV) and the quarter final first leg defeat at Barcelona. Madrid have scored just five goals away from home in the Champions League this season and conceded only three. I expect a tight game here but Bayern can get the win but I wouldn't be surprised if this went to extra time or Munich ended up winning 2-1 and going out on away goals.
- Real Madrid v Manchester City
Real returned home to Madrid in midweek with a 0-0 scoreline after the first leg in Manchester. They are in prime position to get through to the final but have to be wary of an away goal by their opponents. Looking at the result of the game though I fully expect them to win this match, especially if Ronaldo is back from injury. Real have won all five of their Champions League home games this season scoring 18 goals. However, Real aren't all about their great attack as they are yet to concede a goal at home in the Champions League this season. In all of their 11 games so far they've only let in three goals and every single one of those was in the 4-3 away win at Shakhtar Donetsk so that's 11 games and 10 clean sheets. Manchester City have only had one away defeat so far this season in the Champions League, away at Juventus. They have won three and drawn one (at PSG) in the other four. They've scored ten and conceded six and of course know they have to score in this game unless they fancy having to stop Madrid scoring for 120 minutes and then win a penalty shoot-out. City can be dodgy on their travels and do concede a few goals so everything points to a Madrid home win here.
