Jack Draper is the only British male player seeded at the US Open. He's the 25th seed and begins his campaign with a first round match against unseeded Zhizhen Zhang. Read on to discover our match prediction.

Zhang nearly made it into the seedings for this Grand Slam. The Chinese player was a career-high 31st last month but is currently down to 45th in the live rankings. This is only his third tournament since mid-July.

Wins have been hard to come by of late with only one in his last four matches. Earlier this year, he was in much better form and he's reached three quarter-finals and made one last four appearance. 

Nine of his last 12 matches in Grand Slams have had over 3.5 sets played in them. This is his first match against his opponent. He'll hope to do as well here as in 2023 when he made it to round three.

Jack Draper is 28th in the live rankings and seeded in this Grand Slam for the first time. His most recent tournament saw him reach the quarter-finals of the hard court tournament held in Cincinnati. 

The three wins he had in that tournament all saw both players win a set. That included his controversial win over Felix Auger-Aliassime who is in the same half of the draw in this tournament.

The winner of this match faces either Hugo Gaston or Facundo Diaz Acosta, who are both unseeded. We go for over 3.5 sets to be played in this match.
