Unseeded Yuan Yue and the wildcard Tereza Martincova are set to meet on Wednesday at the 2023 Prague Open. The winner of this second-round tie will play either lucky loser Nao Hibino or the qualifier Viktoria Hruncakova in the quarterfinals. Advancing to this round for only the second time has moved her up five places to 104th in the live ranking. Martincova’s highlight of the season came on clay in Zaragoza in the ITF circuit where she made the final.
