The veteran Frenchman has had a topsy-turvy campaign with his record of 33-25 attesting to this. Nonetheless, he has been able to add some more silverware to his long career. He has won two of the three challenger finals he has contested with one coming on hard court. The 34-year-old also arrives for this match in fine form as he has won eight of his last 10 fixtures. In the first round here, he defeated compatriot Geoffrey Blancaneaux by the loss of just five games. Paire, a former world number 18, is currently ranked 125th in the ATP.
