Yoshihito Nishioka vs Arthur Rinderknech Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Atlanta Open

Two unseeded players face each other in this semi-final match at the Atlanta Open. Arthur Rinderknech takes on Yoshiihito Nishioka with the winner facing either fourth seed Jordan Thompson or qualifier Yuncheng Shang in the final. Here's our prediction on who'll win.

World number 64 Arthur Rinderknech won a Challenger Tour event last July. He's about to drop the ranking points earned so is delighted to have another deep run a year later. The Frenchman is 68th in the live list but a win here can take him up to 57th.

This is his first hard court tournament in four months and the first time he's been past the last eight in an ATP Tour event this year. He did win a hard court Challenger Tour event though. Rinderknech hasn't faced a seeded player in Atlanta this week.

Wins have come over J J Wolf and Adam Walton (both lucky losers) and in the last eight  he defeated qualifier Mattia Bellucci. It took him three sets to get past the Italian, losing the middle one but winning the final set for the loss of just one game.

Yoshihito Nishioka was ranked 86th in the last ranking list but is up to 65th in the live rankings. Last June saw him as high as 24th in the rankings. That was achieved after runs to the fourth round in both the Australian and French Opens.

Since then he went four Grand Slams without a win until a second round at Wimbledon this year. The Japanese player has had wins over Zachary Svajda and Mackenzie McDonald. He then beat third seed Frances Tiafoe in the last eight.

Nishioka is yet to drop a set this week and we tip him to win this semi-final.
