Fourth seed Adrian Mannarino and unseeded Yannick Hanfmann will on Friday square off in the semifinals at the Mallorca Championship. The winner will take on either Lloyd Harris or Christopher Eubanks in the final. Yannick Hanfmann defeated wildcard Feliciano Lopez in the previous round in straight sets. That was his second straight-sets win in the competition. The only time he needed a decider to win was against top seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round. Hanfmann is enjoying his grass-court campaign and has won four of the five matches he has played on the surface. He isn’t a great performer on grass but will be pleased with his performances thus far. The German has won 35 of the 51 matches he has played and is now up to 44th in the live ranking.

Adrian Mannarino is a better performer on grass than Hanfmann and will hope his experience guides him past this round. He has won 87 of the 144 matches played on grass over the course of his career. Six of those victories have come this season. The Frenchman has had a turbulent campaign but his form on grass has seen him finally achieve a winning record. His record is now at 20 wins and 19 losses. To achieve his 20th win, the fourth seed defeated Corentin Moutet in straight sets, his first 2-0 of the competition. The win bumped him up five places to 38th in the live ranking. Advancing to his first final in almost a year will move him up a further three places.
