The final round of matches in the Super Eight at the 2024 World Cup is here!
West Indies will be hoping to secure a spot in the last four when they face South Africa at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Monday.
The West Indies and England are tied on two points each heading into the final matches of the round and both need victories to advance. The Windies do, however, have the best net run rate in the group.
Despite leading the group, South Africa can still be eliminated on NRR if they lose here and England beat Bangladesh.

West Indies - South Africa Squad Analysis
Nicholas Pooran’s unbeaten 27 saw him extend his lead atop the leading run-scorer standings. He is now on 227 runs in the competition, 16 runs ahead of Andries Gous of the United States.
Alzarri Joseph has been the pick of the bowlers for the Windies in the tournament. He is now up to fourth in the leading wicket-taker standings with 11 wickets in six outings.
Young Akeal Hosein and Andre Russell are also in the top ten with nine wickets each.
After an atrocious group stage, back-to-back half-centuries for Quinton de Kock has seen him fly up the rankings. He is now the third-highest run-scorer in the tournament with 187 in six innings.
Andre Nortje has brought his solid IPL form to the World Cup and sits third in the leading wicket-taker standings with 11, four shy of Afghanistan’s Fazalhaq Farooqi on 15.
West Indies - South Africa Form Analysis
The West Indies suffered defeat at the hands of England in their opening match of the Super Eight. It was their only defeat in the competition following four consecutive wins during the group stage.
However, they bounced back from that result in fine style, beating the US by nine wickets and 55 balls to spare on Saturday morning.
Shai Hope put in his first big innings of the competition, scoring an unbeaten 82 off just 39 balls. He was supported magnificently by Nicholas Pooran, who notched up 27* in 12 balls, wrapping up the match in a little over 10 overs.
Roston Chase and Andre Russell were the top contributors with the ball. Both pacemen picked up three wickets each.
That result has given the Windies a net run rate of +1.814, which could be a crucial factor given that the group could end with three teams tied on four points each.
In head-to-head matches between these two, both teams have split the results 11 wins apiece.
Meanwhile, South Africa will be out for revenge here, having recently suffered a 3-0 clean sweep against the Windies in a three-match T20 series last month.
However, they enter this match in excellent form and are one of only three teams that are still unbeaten in the competition, alongside India and Australia.
The Proteas currently sit atop Group 2 following a narrow seven-run victory over England on Friday afternoon led by another sensational innings by Quinton de Kock at the top of the order.
The wicket-keeper batsman scored a brisk 65 runs in 38 balls and was helped by the ever-dependable David Miller, who made 43 (28) to help the side to what turned out to be a defendable 163/6.
Keshav Maharaj produced the best bowling figures for the Proteas of 2/25, and Kagiso Rabada put in another solid effort taking 2/32 in his four-over allotment.

Our West Indies - South Africa - ICC Men's T20 World Cup prediction
In matches like this one, form and records tend to go out the window and results typically come down to which side wants it more on the day.
So far in the competition, South Africa have been the side that have managed games the best, defending small totals with excellent bowling and that could be the determining factor in this one, especially considering the run rate scenario.
This is shaping up to be an epic encounter but we fancy the Proteas to get the result. Our West Indies vs South Africa prediction: South Africa wins!
