It's been a tough year for Rafael Nadal with only three title victories and he's only managed to win $3m. Injuries have caused him plenty of problems but recent weeks have seen a big improvement in form. Last week he lost to old rival Roger Federer in the final of the Swiss Open but recorded wins over Gasquet and Cilic on his way to the final. Before that he'd reached the semi-finals in Shanghai and lost to Djokovic in the final of the Beijing tournament. That's a level of consistency Nadal hasn't shown in a while. On his way to the semi-finals in Shanghai he beat Wawrinka and only dropped three games in doing so.  So far in this tournament he's beaten Roisol and Anderson. Now he takes on Wawrinka who had to come from a set down to beat Troicki in the last round. He's won four tournaments this year, the last being in Tokyo last month but that didn't include any wins over players ranked in the top 20. His best form was back in the spring when he won the French Open and lost in the semi-final at Wimbledon. This is an interesting clash for sure. Nadal is back in form and recently beat Wawrinka in straight sets, I go for another win for Nadal here.
