The Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics will face off at the Capital One Arena on Monday in NBA action. The Wizards (3-20) are dead last in the Eastern Conference table, while the Celtics (20-5) are second. Here's our match prediction. 

The Washington Wizards have underperformed this season, and their form alone is enough to back that view. The Wizards have managed to win only three of their 23 games, and this has left them languishing in 15th place in the Eastern Conference.

Coming into this match, Brian Keefe's men were recently thrashed 115-105 by the high-flying Cleveland Cavaliers away from home. This result extended their losing streak to two matches.

Home form has been cause for concern with just two wins recorded from their last 12 games, and it's safe to say that's where a large part of their struggles have stemmed from this season. 

 Following their elimination from the in-season tournament this year, the Boston Celtics have shifted their ambitions to retain their championship status. 

The Celtics secured their 12 straight wins against the Detroit Pistons when they secured a commanding 123-99 victory at home. This comes after bowing down to a 127-121 defeat against the Grizzlies for the first time this season on the second night of a back-to-back. 

They currently boast the best away record in the East with nine wins recorded from their last 11 games.
