There was talk on the radio station I was listening to last Saturday that Italy shouldn't be in the Six Nations after their 58-15 loss to Ireland. It's a controversial point but Italy have had a strange campaign this year. If that drop kick had gone over in Paris they'd have beaten France. It didn't and since then they have played England, Scotland and Ireland and lost by a combined total of 90 points. They have already 'won' the wooden spoon and another heavy defeat looks likely as they travel to Cardiff. Wales have won their last nine games against Italy and never lost to them at home with 11 wins and a draw back in 2005. The Welsh side have had a decent campaign with the draw in Ireland that could so nearly have been a win, home victories over Scotland and France and then what in the end was a narrow loss to England. In both games against Ireland and England they conceded early points and had to play catch-up from then on, better starts could easily have had them chasing a win here to get the Grand Slam. Wales can get the win here and cover the handicap.
