The Shamrocks opened their campaign with a 27-22 home win over England and defeated Scotland 32-18 away in their last match.
This back-to-back victories have seen the team secure five straight victories in all competitions, including three home and two away victories (the most recent being the away win over Scotland).
Against Wales, Ireland have been dominant, winning seven of their last eight encounters. This includes an impressive double in the last edition of the Six Nations.

Wales - Ireland: Form Analysis
Wales will head into this match against the backdrop of a long run of poor results. They are rock bottom of the 2025 Six Nations table after back-to-back defeats in their opening two matches.
Also, they have lost their last two matches by blowout margins. This includes a 52-20 mauling by Australia and a 45-12 thrashing by South Africa.
Overall, they have lost 13 of their last 14 games with the only win coming against Fiji in an international friendly in October 2024.
Conversely, Ireland have been in impressive form. They have won their opening two matches in the 2025 Six Nations and are in pole position to clinch their second consecutive title.
Furthermore, after an inconsistent five-match run, dating back to the 2024 Six Nations, they have been in terrific form, rattling off five straight wins. This includes the two opening victories (a 27-22 home win over England and a 32-18 away win over Scotland) in the ongoing 2025 Six Nations.
They have also been impressive away from home, securing victories over South Africa (25-24) and Scotland (32-18) in their last two matches. Their last three encounters with Wales have ended in thumping victories with the most recent being a 31-7 win in the 2024 Six Nations.

Wales & Ireland Squad Analysis
Wales will head into the match with significant changes to the squad following the exit of former head coach Warren Gatland.
New interim manager Matt Sherratt has called up two specialist fly-halves, Gareth Anscombe from Gloucester and Jarrod Evans from Harlequins, to bolster the squad.
Another new addition to the squad is Gloucester center Max Llewellyn. The Wales under-20 international boasts the second most tries (7) in the Gallagher Premiership and will be a big boost to the team.
Meanwhile, Sherratt will miss the services of Saracens fullback Liam Williams who picked up a knee injury against France, including Ospreys' center Owen Watkin due to an ACL blow.
For Ireland, team captain Caelan Doris is ruled out id the match after picking up a neck injury in the 32-18 away win over Scotland. The Leinster hooker is expected to be replaced by his 32-year-old Leinster teammate Jack Conan.
Another Leinster player and tighthead prop, Tadhg Furlong, who missed the team's two opening Six Nations wins, is ruled out due to injury as well. Also unavailable is Leinster hooker Ronan Kelleher who is grappling with a neck injury.
Other key names sidelined ahead of the match for the Irish side are Ulster duo Iain Henderson (hamstring) and Cormac Izuchukwu (ankle). To mitigate the potential impact of the listed absentees, Easterby has called up Ulster trio Stuart McCloskey, Jacob Stockdale, and Nick Timoney to the squad.
