Vegas Golden Knights vs Ottawa Senators Prediction & Betting Tips - NHL

Game three of a five-game road trip for the 11-14-0 Ottawa Senators will see them taking on the 20-6-5 Vegas Golden Knights. The Sens have struggled to get any sort of momentum going this season, finding themselves at the bottom of the Eastern conference. They have played the fewest games of any team in the NHL but even accounting for that, it has been a disappointing season. There has been the odd spark like when they beat the New York Rangers 6-2 earlier in the month, but they have been unable to capitalise with these performances few and far between. Three losses in a row on the road have seen them ship 13 goals in the process and now they head to a top-five offence which could cause them some more problems at the back.
Vegas are coming off the back of a very disappointing loss to the Buffalo Sabres. Leading 2-1 heading into the final 15 minutes of play they absolutely collapsed, losing 5-2. A hair over 42% of the goals that the Knights have conceded have been in the third period so that is something as a team they need to address, 21 against in both the first and second and then 31 in the third. That will give the Senators something to work towards if they are able to keep in touch with the Knights in the early stages. The Knights have been slow to start games with the play getting more wide-open as the game progresses. Adin Hill being out injured has not helped them, he is back skating but is not participating in full practice yet which is an ongoing concern for the team at the back end.
