A Western Conference matchup in the NHL sees the division leading Las Vegas Golden Knights heading up north to take on the Vancouver Canucks at the Rogers Arena. Vegas has been on a roll lately and was able to bounce back from a heavy defeat to the Flames last week with a 7-2 home win over Columbus on Sunday. The win was the Golden Knights’ eighth victory in the past 10 games and they now top the Pacific division with a record of 43 wins, 21 losses and six overtime defeats for a points total of 92. This has them tied with the second-place Kings but leading due to tie-breaker. One of the areas that the Knights have excelled at this season has been their superb play as the visiting team. The visitors have won 21, lost seven and dropped five overtime games on their travels this season, representing one of the best road records in the entire NHL.
They’ll face off against a Canucks team that is all but out of the postseason race as it sits sixth in the division and 14 points behind the Jets for one of the two Wild Card playoff spots. Vancouver has amassed a record of 31 wins, 33 losses and five overtime defeats on the season for a total of 67 points. The Nucks have, however, been on an excellent run of form in the month of March and should come into this matchup high in confidence. Vancouver is coming off a 2-1 away win over Anaheim in the previous outing, meaning the team has now won seven of its last eight games. The team has not been able to build any kind of home ice advantage as they remain below the .500 mark with a record of 16 wins, 17 losses and one overtime defeat at the Rogers Arena.
