Vancouver Canucks vs New Jersey Devils Prediction & Betting Tips - NHL
by Matthew Newman | in NHL Predictions
A battle for family supremacy as the 11-10-1 New Jersey Devils head to the 16-8-1 Vancouver Canucks. The Devils are led in scoring by 22-year-old Jack Hughes with 20-year-old brother Luke on the blue line for them while their older sibling Quinn is captain of the Canucks. The Devils head to Canada after a disappointing defeat at home to the San Jose Sharks who have the worst winning percentage in the league. Even before that in wins over the Islanders (5-4) and the Flyers (4-3), they looked weak in defence. Losing their leading scoring D-man in Dougie Hamilton is not going to make things any easier on the back end for them. The Canucks are the highest scoring team in the league and they will be rubbing their hands together in delight at the prospect of the Devils coming to town.
Rogers Arena has been a fortress for the Canucks so far this season, an 8-2-1 record on their home ice. The three teams who have come in to take two points away from here include the reigning Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights and the Seattle Kraken, who have won both visits. Elias Pettersson continues to build a career as one of the most consistent players in the league. J.T Miller is having himself a career year and fans will have been delighted to see Brock Boeser back to something like his best this season after a couple of years underperforming compared to his rookie season, and what fans know he can produce. It has made for a potent team and they will be smelling blood in the water here.
