An intriguing East vs Western Conference matchup is on deck for the NBA when the 42-25 Jazz host the 42-26 defending champion Milwaukee Bucks at the Vivint SmartHome Arena. The visiting Bucks will look to get back to winning ways after ripping off six straight wins against some tough opposition before falling 122-109 in their last game away to the Warriors. The recent streak has seen Milwuakee climb the standings to third place in the East in what is a very tight battle for the top seed. Miami holds a slight 2.5 game lead over the Sixers and the Bucks while the Bulls and Celtics are also right in the mix in the fourth and fifth seeds, respectively. The Jazz will be looking to reclaim the consistency they had earlier in the season and string together consecutive wins as they’ve been in a habit of trading a win for a loss over their last seven games. Utah sits fourth in the West and are coming off a high scoring 134-126 win over the Kings.

Milwaukee was putting together a very impressive winning streak before being stopped by Golden State which included a number of statement wins including victories over the Heat, the Bulls and the Suns in consecutive games. The healthiest they’ve been for practically the entire season, the Bucks are one of the league’s most dangerous teams at the moment as they look to be hitting their stride at the perfect time with the playoffs fast approaching. They’ll be faced with a tough challenge in this game though, as Utah is always a tough place to play. The Jazz are consistently one of the league’s best home teams and this season is no different as they sport a record of 24 wins and 10 losses in front of their own fans. This should be a close game between two contenders but ultimately the Bucks are the team in the better form and should be able to grind out a tough win here.
