Utah Jazz vs Golden State Warriors Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA
by Joseph King | in NBA Predictions
A battle between two of the Western Conference’s elite takes place at the Vivint Smart Home Arena as the Utah Jazz host the Golden State Warriors. This will be the Jazz’s fourth of a six game homestand and they’ve been on a great run since returning to Utah. Some home cooking was just what the doctor ordered for the Jazz as they had previously lost five out of their last five on the road before returning home and tearing off three straight victories. With a record of 33 wins and 21 losses Utah currently sit fourth in the West and trail the first place Suns by a massive 11 games. For the visiting Warriors, they have been on an absolute roll despite the loss of influential defender Draymond Green. Golden State have now won nine in a row and are challenging the Phoenix Suns for the best record in basketball. With 41 wins and 13 losses, Golden State sit second in the West and are coming off a 110-98 away win over the Thunder.
Utah have been without center Rudy Gobert for the last eight games after suffering a calf strain almost two weeks ago. The three-time defensive player could very well suit up for this game as he was supposedly close to a return in Utah’s last game, but there is still some doubt over his availability. Gobert is a huge miss for the Jazz and despite winning the last three at home, they had lost the first five games in a row that the dominant French defender had missed. Golden State are in a real groove and it’s between them and the Suns for the title of best team in the NBA. With Klay Thompson back and getting into a nice rhythm they will certainly fancy their chances to extend their winning streak to 10 games over a Jazz team that has been a tad inconsistent over the last few weeks.
