Ugo Humbert will hope to give his home fans something to cheer about in round two of the Paris Masters. The 15th seed takes on qualifier Marcos Giron in this indoor hard court tournament. Here's our match prediction.

The world number 18 will face either second seed Carlos Alcaraz or Nicolas Jarry in the last 16. The first round of this tournament saw Humbert win a tricky match against unseeded Brandon Nakashima, winning in three sets after dropping the middle one.

Humbert recently reached the final of the hard court tournament played in Tokyo.

Marcos Giron has lost all three of his previous matches against Humbert. They were all played on this surface, including a straight sets win for Humbert in this tournament last year. He's at 49th in the latest rankings but was as high as 37th two months ago.

The American recently reached the last four in Antwerp but had lost two of his last three matches before this tournament. He had to qualify to get into the main draw and in his second match had to come from behind to beat Miomir Kecmanovic.

Round one saw him beat fellow qualifier Juncheng Shang in straight sets, both won by a tie-break. We tip Humbert to win this without dropping a set.
