Ugo Humbert vs Arthur Rinderknech Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Stuttgart Open

Ugo Humbert is the eighth seed for the 2022 BOSS Open in Stuttgart. The Frenchman takes on his compatriot Arthur Rinderknech in the first round of this grass court tournament. Humbert began this event ranked 48th in the world but was as high as 31st in the early weeks of the year. He had a win over world number two Daniil Medvedev in the ATP Cup in January but has been rather inconsistent since then. Humbert has lost in the first round of both Grand Slam events this year and didn't have a good clay court season. He'll be glad the grass court season has started as he does get some good results on this surface. He won the Halle Open last year beating Andrey Rublev in the final. Humbert has only got past the second round of a Grand Slam once in his career. That was in 2019 and it was at Wimbledon so he's a player to keep an eye on in the 2022 grass court season.

Arthur Rinderknech is the world number 60 but was 48th in mid-January after reaching the final in the Adelaide 2 tournament. He got to the second round of the Australian Open but then pulled out of his match against Dan Evans. The semi-finals were reached in Doha but then he only won two matches in his next eight tournaments including a first round exit at Roland Garros. With time on his hands, he moved down to the lower Challenger Tour and won the event played in Poznan. However, no players in the top 135 were beaten in that tournament. His record on grass is not as good as his opponent and Rinderkneck has never made it past the first round at Wimbledon. Humbert won their only previous meeting in a match played on an indoor hard court. Go for him to get another win in this match.
