Tunisia open their 2021 Men's World Handball Championship with a match against Poland in Group B. The other two countries in this group are Spain and Brazil and Tunisia have a tricky looking opener against an in-form Polish side.The Tunisians have made it to these finals in every event since 1995. Their best performance was when reaching the last four in the 2005 champioships in which they were hosts. They have regularly made it to the quarter finals but not in the last two championships, losing in the group stage and the main round. Tunisia have had great success in the African Championships with three titles and three runner-up spots in the last six events. 

Poland received a wild card so they can compete in these championships. They competed in six world championship finals in a row before missing out in 2017. They are trying to recapture the days when they were one of the leading sides in the world when losing in the 2007 final. The past year or so has seen Poland making many changes in their squad with new players coming through. They face a tough task in this group but will want to avoid finishing bottom and going into the Presidents Cup. Form is impressive though with five straight wins going into this match against Tunisia. Poland have won their last three games against Tunisia and six of the last seven.
