Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA
by Joseph King | in NBA Predictions
An Eastern Conference battle in the NBA on Saturday night sees the 1-1 Toronto Raptors hosting the 0-1 Philadelphia 76ers. Toronto opened the 2023/24 campaign with a 97-94 home win against the TWolves on Wednesday. They dropped their second game of the season 104-103 in an overtime loss to the Chicago Bulls last night. The Raptors now return to Toronto for the first of a three game home stand. They will have to deal with playing the second night of a back-to-back however, as their opponents will come into the game with an extra day’s rest. Toronto finished the 2022/23 season as the ninth-seed with a 41-41 record. They were consistently good at the Scotiabank Arena, racking up a home record of 27 wins and only 14 losses.
The 76ers dropped their opening game of the season away from home to the Bucks by a score of 118-117. While they will be disappointed with the defeat, there were certainly some positives to take from the matchup. Milwaukee are the current title favorites and are expected to battle it out with the Celtics for the top spot in the East. There’s certainly no shame in losing on the road to that squad. On the bright side, Philly got excellent production from the rest of the team around reigning MVP Joel Embiid. Maxey is looking set for a huge year as he dropped 31 points to lead the team in scoring. They also got 27 points from Kelly Oubre and 20 points from Tobias Harris. While it is looking more and more likely that James Harden has played his last game as a Sixer, there’s still a lot to like about this Philly team.

Our Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction
Philadelphia will be seeking their first win of the season but will face a tough test in Toronto. The Raptors are certainly no pushovers at the Scotiabank Arena and put up excellent results at home last season. Despite their ninth-place finish in the conference, Toronto put up the fifth-best home results behind only the Bucks, Celtics, Sixers and Cavs. Early signs for the Toronto defense have also been good. They would have had back-to-back games of keeping their opponents to under 100 points if not for overtime last night. Back the hosts to keep this one close and take the points. Our Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers prediction is for the Raptors on the +4 point spread.
