The Toronto Raptors (7-20) will welcome the Brooklyn Nets (10-16) to Scotiabank Arena in NBA action. The Raptors are 14th in the Eastern Conference, while the Nets are 10th. Below is our prediction for the match. 

Despite Jamal Shead's valiant effort of hitting a 3-pointer at the final buzzer, it wasn't enough to see the Toronto Raptors avoid a narrow 122-121 home defeat against the Chicago Bulls on Monday. 

This defeat added insult to injury as this extended the Raptors losing streak to five matches since recording consecutive wins against the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers between the 2nd and 4th of December. 

Currently, they find themselves second last in the East and are five wins away from surpassing the Detroit Pistons who occupy the last promotion play-off spot. 

The Brooklyn Nets have also had their fair share of struggles this season, and they head into this clash riding a three-match losing streak. 

The Nets can be forgiven for their poor performance against the pacesetters Cleveland Cavaliers losing 130-101 at home considering their fate was already decided before the match even began.

However, this matchup presents a perfect opportunity for them to get back to winning ways, having secured three wins in their last five away matches despite consecutive defeats against the Bulls and the Grizzlies.
