Both teams are involved in a neck-and-neck race for second-place in the division as the Blue Jays currently hold the position with their 81-62 record. The Rays are right on their heels however with a record of 79-63 putting them only a game and a half behind their division rivals. With the playoffs fast approaching, both sides will be hoping to improve their standing in the Wild Card race. As things stand at the moment, both the Rays and the Blue Jays each hold one of the three available spots with Mariners filling the final spot.
