The Yankees come into this game after completing an excellent four game series sweep at home over their bitter rivals the Boston Red Sox, extending their overall winning streak to seven games in the process. The results mean that the Yankees top the division with a 94-58 record and an almost insurmountable 8.5 game lead with roughly 10 games remaining for each team. On the other side, division rivals Toronto find themselves in a strong position to secure one of the three Wild Card spots as they currently hold a 6.5 game lead over Baltimore and a 2.5 game lead over the Rays on that front. The Blue Jays have an overall record of 86-67.
