Tommy Paul vs Frances Tiafoe Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Stockholm Open

Unseeded Tommy Paul takes on eight seed Frances Tiafoe in the Stockholm Open semi-final. The winner will face either defending champion Denis Shapovalov or Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final. Paul is the world number 52 but this is only the second tournament of the year in which he has reached the last eight. His best result before this week had been making the semi-finals of a clay court tournament in Parma, six months ago. He's shown good form this week with wins over Leo Borg, fifth seeded Taylor Fritz and in the quarter finals, Andy Murray. Only in the latter of those matches did Paul drop a set. He's met Tiafoe three times in the past and lost all of them. Their only meeting on the ATP tour was last year in Delray Beach when he lost in straight sets.

Frances Tiafoe began the week ranked 41st but as a result of his results this week is up to 38th. He can climb another two places if winnng this semi-final. Last week saw him have an early exit in the Paris Masters but the week before that, he'd made it to the final in Vienna. That was a great week for Tiafoe with wins over Stefanos Tsitsipas, Diego Schwartzmann and Jannik Sinner. He's had one tournament victory this year. That was in a Challenger Tour grass court event in Nottingham. This week has seen him beat Elias Ymer, Pedro Martinez and fourth seeded Dan Evans. He lost the first set to Evans 6-1 but then won the next two 6-1 6-1. He is the clear form pick here and can get the win to reach another final.
