Tomas Martin Etcheverry vs Ugo Humbert Prediction & Betting Tips - Bordeaux, France

Seventh seeded Tomas Martin Etcheverry is up against the fith seed Ugo Humbert in the final of the Bordeaux Challenger tournament. The Argentinian began this clay court tournament ranked 61st in the world. This run to the Bordeaux final has taken him up to 46th and beating Humbert will take him up to 39th. The 23-year-old lost in the first round of the Rome Masters so took this opportunity to get some more practice before Roland Garros begins. It's been a busy year for Etcheverry on clay. He's in his third clay court final of the year. The other two were on the ATP Tour in Santiago and Houston. This week has seen him reach the title decider without dropping a set in four matches. The last four saw him beat top seeded Jan-Lennard Struff.

Ugo Humbert will have the support of the French home fans. The world number 50 is up to 44th in the live rankings and will be 38th if winning this title. Humbert is in his third Challenger Tour final of the year. He reached the final in Pau three months ago but that was on a hard court. The other was on this surface when he won the title in Cagliari, beating Laslo Djere. He hasn't done well on the ATP Tour though and most recently lost in the first round of the Rome Masters to Emil Russuuvouri. This week he's only lost one set to qualifier Gauthier Onclin in round two. That was followed by a straight sets win over Stan Wawrinka. The last four saw him win an all-French match against third seed Richard Gasquet. Only two games were lost, both in the second set. He'll hope to repeat this form at Roland Garros where in five previous tournaments he's never won a match. There's only been one previous match against Etcheverry. That was on grass at Wimbledon last year with Humbert winning in five sets. This should be a closely fought final and we go for Humbert to get the win.
