TNT Tropang Giga vs Bolts Prediction & Betting Tips - PBA, Governors Cup
by Joseph King | in Basketball Predictions
Game two of the PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals sees TNT Tropang Giga looking to take a commanding lead when they face off against the Meralco Bolts at the Ynares Center. Tropa dominated game one in this series, leading from wire to wire in what would turn out to be a blowout 110-80 victory. They now have a chance to go up 2-0 in this best of five series, which would put them within just one victory of making the finals. TNT’s last championship game in the Philippine Cup in 2021 but the franchise has never lifted the Governors’ Cup crown. They will feel they have their best possible chance this season after finishing top of the regular season standings with a record of 10 wins and one loss. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson put up a superb triple double in game one to lead the way for TNT while Roger Pogoy also poured in 21 points.
The Bolts have their backs up against the wall here and coach Norman Black will likely be stressing the ‘must-win’ nature of this encounter. Black decided to rest his starters in the game one loss after it was apparent that the game was out-of-reach. He also stressed the importance of slowing down TNT’s Hollis-Jefferson after the former Brooklyn Net completely controlled the play in the previous matchup. The Bolts overcame Magnolia in the previous round after finishing the regular season in the fourth seed with a record of seven wins and four defeats. Import player KJ McDaniels will need a big game here if Meralco is to bounce back after finishing game one with just 12 points on five of 16 shooting.

Our TNT Tropang Giga vs Bolts Prediction
TNT head coach Jojo Lastimosa spoke in the media about his expectations for a Meralco Bolts response in game two. The Bolts are an experienced side who have made the finals in the Governors’ Cup in four of the last six seasons, so they won’t be intimidated by losing the series opener as they have been here before. Expect a better game plan from Norman Black’s men as they should at least be able to keep this game competitive and within the listed spread. Our TNT Tropang Giga vs Meralco Bolts prediction: Bolts +6
