Texas Rangers vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction & Betting Tips - MLB
by Joseph King | in MLB Predictions
A battle between division leaders sees the NL Central first-place Milwaukee Brewers taking on the AL West first-place Texas Rangers. Texas will be desperate to get one over on the Brewers in the third and final game of this series to avoid being swept in their home ballpark. It’s been an excellent season for the Rangers overall who currently hold a slim 2.5 game lead over the second-place Astros in their division. Texas have accumulated 72 wins from their 123 games so far as we head into the final stretch of the regular season. However, they’ll be attempting to end a three game losing streak when they take to Globe Life Field on Sunday. A 6-1 loss to the Brewers on Saturday was the Rangers’ latest defeat after also losing the first game in the series by a score of 9-8. They will start this game with Max Scherzer on the mound who is 12-4 on the year with a 3.67 ERA.
The Brewers will be looking to continue their winning ways as they seek their third straight victory down south. Milwaukee is maintaining a rather slim lead of their own in the NL Central, leading both the Cubs and Reds by three games each. Every game is important for the Brewers as the regular season winds down. A failure to hold on to the division crown could mean missing out on the postseason altogether. Milwaukee have been able to maintain consistent results this season regardless of playing home or away. They’ve accumulated 34 wins from 64 road trips this season and 33 wins from 60 home games. The visitors will send out Adrian Houser to start this game against the Rangers. Houser is 4-4 on the season with an ERA of 4.43. His last outing saw him give up three earned runs in five innings to the Dodgers in a 6-2 loss

Our Texas Rangers vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction
The Rangers will be counting on the experienced arm of Max Scherzer to put an end to a rare losing streak. The 39-year-old has hit the ground running in Texas following his trade from the Mets. Scherzer has made three starts for his new team since arriving, giving up only four earned runs and striking out 20 batters in 20 innings pitched. He capped it off with arguably his best performance of the season in his last outing, pitching a seven-inning one-hitter.
