Tereza Martincova vs Barbora Krejcikova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Prague Open

French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova looks set to win her third title of the year. The world number 13 is the second seed for the Prague Open and takes on eighth seeded Tereza Martincova in the final. Krejcikova is up to 12th in the live rankings and victory in this final will see her climb another place. Not bad for someone who started 2021 ranked 65th and considered a doubles specialist (currently ranked 2nd). This year has seen her become an established singles player with a run to the final in Dubai and then winning a clay court tournament in Strasbourg before landing the French Open title. The Czech reached the last sixteen at Wimbledon and now title number three of the year is looking likely. This week has seen her beat Isabella Shinikova, Yasaline Bonaventure, fifth seeded Katerina Siniakova and Wang Xinyu for the loss of 21 games and no sets dropped.

Tereza Martincova began the week ranked 78th in the world. She's up to 67th in the live rankings and if beating Krejcikova, can climb another five places.  The Czech was 129th in March of this year, so she continues to make big strides up the rankings. Before this week, Martincova had made the last eight in two grass court tournaments and the last 16 in Dubai. She also beat two top 40 ranked players at Wimbledon. Her good form has continued this week with four straight sets wins. The semi-final saw her beat ninth seeded Greet Minnen 6-3 6-4. Martincova leads Krejcikova 2-1 in previous meetings. Both of her wins came five years ago, the most recent meeting saw the much improved Krejcikova win in Ostrava last year 7-5 6-1. Go for Krejcikova to win this in straight sets.
