Find the best betting tips for the 2021 ATP Cup taking place in Australia in February.
2021 ATP Cup
The 2021 tennis season has been relatively quiet this year. February sees it really come to life with this ATP Cup swiftly followed by the Australian Open. The ATP Cup is a relatively new team competition. It was first held last year with Serbia winning the final against Spain. This competition differs from the Davis Cup as it's run by the ATP and there are ranking points at stake unlike in the other more established team tournament.
Last year saw 24 nations taking part, in 2021 though there are only half that number competing. The participating countries have been decided by the ATP singles rankings with Australia receiving a wild card as hosts.

The Contenders
Spain Looking Strong
Spain reached the final of this competition last year, months after winning the 2019 Davis Cup. Any team that has Rafael Nadal in it obviously has a chance of winning. This is no one man team though. Their second player is Roberto Bautista Agut who is ranked 13th in the world. Then there's Pablo Carrena Busta who last year reached the US Open semi-final and the last eight of the French Open. Completing their team is Marcel Granollers who has reached three Grand Slam doubles finals.

Serbia bid to retain title
Serbia are the defending champions and with world number one Novak Djokovic in their team, a successful defence can't be ruled out. He won all six of his ATP Cup matches last year, dropping just two sets. Their second player is world number 26 Dusan Lajovic. He won four of his six matches last year but didn't have a great 2020 and has still never made it past the third round of a Grand Slam singles. Filip Krajinovic is ranked 31st in the world with Nikola Cacic, a highly skilled doubles player.

Russia Look a Big Danger
Russia are the pre-tournament favourites and it's easy to see why. Their top player is Daniil Medvedev who is ranked fourth in the world. He ended last year with wins at the Paris Masters and then the ATP Tour Finals. In the ATP Cup last year, he won four out of four matches before a loss to Novak Djokovic. Their second player is Andrey Rublev, also in the top ten, currently ranked eighth. He won three tournaments last year. This line-up also includes Aslan Karatsev, and Evgeny Donskoy.

Others to Consider
Italy field a team that includes world number ten Matteo Berrettini and world number 17 Fabio Fognini. Their group sees them up against Austria (with Dominic Thiem in their line-up) and France. The latter has Gael Monfils and Benoit Paire. A tough group and whoever wins it will be in top form.
