ATP Monte-Carlo - Presentation and Predictions for the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters (Tennis)
The ATP Monte-Carlo tournament, also known as the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, is one of the nine Masters 1000 tournaments of the tennis season. Held this year between the 7th and 14th April 2024, it is the first major tournament on clay, opening the ochre season before Madrid, Rome and, of course, Roland Garros. Following Andrey Rublev's victory in 2023, putting an end to the domination of Stefanos Tsitsipas, who had won the previous two titles, the best clay-court players will be going for the 2024 trophy in the Principality of Monaco. So who is the favourite? How do you predict the Monte-Carlo ATP event? Find out all you need to know on this page dedicated to the Masters 1000 in the Principality.

Monte-Carlo Masters prediction: who will win in 2024?
Winner of the 2021 and 2022 editions, Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas was unable to retain his title in 2023 when he was knocked out in the quarter-finals by Taylor Fritz. Last year, it was Andrey Rublev who succeeded Tsitsipas, beating Holger Rune in the final. For the 2024 edition of the Monte-Carlo Masters 1000, all these players are likely to be in the running to win. Added to this group are other heavyweights such as Novak Djokovic and the two Australian Open finalists, Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev.
The final is set with eighth-seed Casper Ruud taking on the 12th-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas. Both athletes had to upset the odds against heavyweight favorites in their semi-final matchups, with the Norwegian Casper Ruud beating world number one Novak Djokovic 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 and the Greek Tsitsipas overcoming the red-hot Jannik Sinner 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. It sets up a final between two players that many consider to be 'clay-specialists' as their respective winning percentages on the red surface are significantly higher than on others (Tsitsipas winning % on clay: 75.6% / Ruud winning % on clay: 68.4%)
This is sure to be an entertaining battle against two exciting young players but we ultimately see Tsitsipas walking away with the Monte Carlo Masters crown. The Greek is in a really nice rhythm at the moment after a shaky start to 2024. His match againt Sinner in the semis was the only time during this competition that Stefanos lost a set. Tsitsipas is considered one of the world's best clay court players for a reason and we believe he will demonstrate why on Sunday. Our Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 prediction: Stefanos Tsitsipas to win!

Our tips for predicting the ATP Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo
Are you counting on this 2024 edition of the Monte Carlo Masters 1000 to be fun at your bookmaker? You're right, the tournament is one of the most prestigious of the tennis season. To have a chance of maximising your winnings and making a success of your tennis predictions, here is some advice from our experts. Follow them for each of your Monte-Carlo ATP predictions for the best advice to make your tennis betting successful.
Determine the form of each player before Monte-Carlo
The first thing you need to do to make a successful Monte Carlo Masters prediction is to analyse the form of the two players in the game you're betting on. In tennis form is a large determining factor in the outcome of a match, so you need to investigate the latest results on both sides. How have the players performed over the last month? Did they win their last match easily, or did they struggle to qualify? How many hours did they spend on court? These are all questions that need to be answered. For example, avoid predicting the success of a player who has won two matches in 3 sets if he is playing against another who has just won 6-0 / 6-2.
Analyse the history of duels (Head to Head)
In the same spirit as the first point, it's vital to look at the results of the last head-to-head duels between the two players. Because psychology is so important in tennis, it's useful to know which player has the mental edge and will come onto the court with full confidence. To make sure you don't miss out, analyse the players' latest head-to-head results. Matches played on clay will be of particular importance, as they will give you a great indication of each other's performance on the surface.
Don't forget the importance of the surface in Monaco (clay)
In tennis, the surface you play on is an essential factor in betting. Every player has different skills on different surfaces. In Monte Carlo, clay is used outdoors. To get the most out of your predictions during the week in Monaco, give preference to players who are used to performing well on clay. For example, avoid players who only shine on grass, or those who find it difficult to string together rallies. Fighting, solid players like Novak Djokovic, or Holger Rune for the younger generation, will be the ones to favour.
Take past Monte Carlo performances into account
The fourth major factor to take into account when making your Monte Carlo predictions is past performances in the tournament. In Monaco, some players have a habit of performing better than others, so you need to favour them in every match. On the ATP circuit, don't forget that players have their own preferences, and are not as brilliant from one tournament to the next. The setting of the tournament, the support of the public, the surface or simply the weather... a few parameters mean that some players will perform well in one tournament and fall apart in others. To maximise your chances of winning at the ATP Monte-Carlo 2024, take a look at the 2023 results. It will be a great help in determining which players enjoy Monaco week.
Take a look at the ATP rankings
The fifth and final piece of advice from our tennis tipsters is to take the ATP rankings into account. As its name suggests, the Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 offers a thousand points to the overall winner, which is no mean feat for some players. If a tennis player is aiming for the world's Top three at the end of the season, first place, qualification for the Masters Tournament or simply the number one ranking in his country, he'd better pay attention to his performance. Against a player who has little to play for this season, motivation can often make the difference in a match. Don't forget this before placing your tennis bets with your bookmaker.
