Taylor Fritz vs Sebastian Baez Prediction & Betting Tips - Rolex Paris Masters

World number 10 Taylor Fritz will take on 28th-ranked Sebastian Baez in the opening round of the ATP Paris Masters on Monday afternoon. The winner of this match will move on to face Daniel Altmaier or Arthur Fils in round two. These two have met twice in the past, and Fritz won both matches in straight sets on the hard surface. The American had an excellent first half of the season, winning three titles up to July, all on the hard surface. He then made solid appearances at the Cincinnati Masters and US Open but lost out in the quarter-final of both tournaments to Novak Djokovic. Since then, though, Fritz has endured a few disappointments, failing to get past the second round in his last three tournaments. However, with a record of 53-23 and 35-11 on the hard surface, Fritz is always a threat and will be eyeing up another solid run in this competition. 

Similarly, Baez has also failed to hit top gear over the last couple of months. He won back-to-back titles in Kitzbuhel and Winston-Salem. However, the Argentine has only made it past the second round once since then. That came at the US Open, where he reached round three. Baez needed three sets to beat qualifier Christopher O’Connell in Basel in the first round last week and was knocked out in the second round by Holger Rune in straight sets. The Argentine is now 33-25 for the year and 9-7 on the hard court, which has never been his favourite surface. Still, having improved his ranking from outside the top 40 to within two of his peak, it's fair to say Baez cannot be counted out of this match.
