Seventh seed Taylor Fritz is yet to drop a set in this year's Shanghai Masters. Round four sees him face the 12th seed Holger Rune. Can Fritz continue his good form in Shanghai? Read our match prediction.

Holger Rune is the world number 14 but will climb at least one place if beating Fritz to reach the quarter-final. Rune is in good form at present and made it to the last four in the Japan Open, losing to eventual champion Arthur Fils.

The 21-year-old also made it to the last four of the Cincinnati Masters but his only final was in Brisbane nine months ago. He's up to 15th in the ATP Live Race but making it to the end-of-season finals will probably need him to win a title or two in the next few weeks.

In this tournament, Rune has beaten Matteo Berrettini (after losing the first set) and 33rd seed Jiri Lehecka in straight sets. He's 1-1 in previous meetings with Fritz and both were played on this surface. Rune won the most recent match against Fritz at Indian Wells this year in three sets.

Taylor Fritz is up to sixth in the live rankings and a place higher in the ATP Live Race. He reached the final of this year's US Open which was played two months ago. He's struggled to build on that with three of his next four singles matches ending in defeat.

His form has improved in Shanghai with wins over Terence Atmane (both sets going to a tie-break) and Yosuke Watanuki without dropping a set. This could be a close match but we tip Fritz to get the victory.
