It's been a hugely successful year for Alexander Zverev with four titles being won. The third seed takes on 31st seeded Taylor Fritz in the last eight with the winner up against either Stefanos Tsitsipas or Nikoloz Basilashvili in the semi-final. Zverev has won every final that he's reached this year. He won a title in Mexico and since then has won three high profile titles. Masters tournaments were won in Madrid and Cincinnati and in Tokyo, he won the Olympic Gold Medal. He's been consistent in Grand Slams too with a quarter final and two sem-finals. In this tournament, he's beaten Jenson Brooksby (in three sets), Andy Murray and 14th seeded Gael Monfils.

Taylor Fritz began the tournament ranked 39th but up seven places in the live rankings. Highlights of 2021 for Fritz include semi-finals in Doha, Cagliari, Los Cabos and Atlanta, Form had dipped before Indian Wells with only two wins from seven matches. He's back in form this week though with wins over Brandon Nakashima, fifth seeded Matteo Berrettini and the tenth seed Jannik Sinner. His record against Zverev is not a good one though with only one win in four previous meetings. The most recent one for Zverev was at Wimbledon this year. Back Zverev to win in straight sets. A side bet on a tie-break is an idea as there have been four in the last three matches between these two players.
