Top seed Taylor Fritz and unseeded Aleksandar Vukic will meet on Sunday in the final of the 2023 Atlanta Open. Fritz is in his second final of the year while Vukic is playing in his first tour-level final. Taylor Fritz was a losing finalist here in 2019. He had won only one tour title before losing to Alex de Minuar. Four years later, he returns after adding four more titles and as a constant fixture in the ATP top 10. The American won his latest and only title of the season in Delray and will hope to extend his current streak in tour finals. His performances in the tournament have him as the clear favourite to win. Fritz is yet to drop a set in Atlanta and in the last round defeated eighth seed J.J. Wolf by the loss of eight games. This was the 37th win of an excellent season where 21 of his victories have come on hard court. Fritz is ranked ninth in both the world ranking and the ATP race.

Aleksandar Vukic is having an excellent campaign and will hope to continue with his form to win his first tour crown. The Australian has compiled a 42-22 record thus far with 28 of his victories coming on hard court. This form has seen him play three finals in the challenger circuit where he has managed one title. Vukic has struggled over the course of his career when it has come to tournament deciders. He has played 14 finals in the ITF and Challenger circuits and has managed only three victories. To advance to the final, he had to come from a set down to defeat seventh seed Ugo Humbert. He showed his resilience in the match with the second set requiring a tiebreak. Vukic is now up to number 61 in the live ranking which is a new career high for him.
