Top seed Taylor Fritz continues his quest for a third Delray Beach Open title and will match up next with eighth seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. They battle in the quarter-finals with the winner taking on Matteo Arnaldi or Brandon Nakashima for a place in the final. Below is our prediction for this match.

Fritz began his title defence with a straight sets victory over the unseeded Bu Yunchaokete. He looked a bit sluggish in the first set and needed a tiebreaker to settle it.

In the second set, the American was more himself and allowed Yunchaokete just two games. Fritz has won the last two Delray Beach Open titles and is seeking to become the first player to win more than two titles.

The world number four has beaten Davidovich Fokina twice before, with their latest showdown being three years ago in Paris.

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has also previously won twice against Fritz. Both of his wins, however, were all on clay.

The Spaniard is having a strong start to the season and has won seven of 11 matches. Six of his wins have been on hardcourts.

He battled through three sets to defeat the wildcard Mackenzie McDonald in the last round. The win bumped him up three places to 57th in the live ranking.
