A tough match is likely to await the winner of this match. The opponent in round three will be either top seed and defending champion Aryana Sabalenka or Jessica Bouzas Maneiro.

Clara Tauson is at 39th in the live rankings and seventh in the WTA Live Race. It's already been a good year for the Dane after her title win in Auckland. It was a fortunate win as she lost the first set to Naomi Osaka but her opponent then retired injured.

Tauson kept up her good run with a straight sets win over 29th seed Linda Noskova in the first round.

Tatjana Maria reached the Wimbledon semi-finals three years ago. Her first Grand Slam event was played in 2007. That Wimbledon run is the only time the German has got past round three of a Grand Slam.

Never has the 37-year-old made it past round two of this tournament. The first round saw her defeat Bernarda Pera in straight sets. We tip Tauson to beat the world  number 90 in straight sets.
