Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints Prediction & Betting Tips - NFL
by Joseph King | in NFL Predictions
An NFC South divisional rivalry on Monday Night Football in week 13 of the NFL season sees the New Orleans Saints heading to the Raymond James Stadium to take on the 2021 Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Bucs. The Bucs, despite having a losing record at 5-6, are still in good shape to make the playoffs as they currently hold the lead in a struggling NFC South division. They will, however, want to get back on track with a win over their rivals who sit bottom of the division on a record of 4-8.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - New Orleans Saints: Form Analysis
Tampa Bay dropped their last game 23-17 to the Cleveland Browns, snapping a previous two game winning streak as it looked like Tom Brady and company were finally turning things around. While the Bucs defense has stepped up in recent weeks, the offense has let them down in certain spots. Tampa Bay now ranks 27th in the entire league in terms of points scored per game at just 18.2. They’ve also failed to break the 20 point mark in four of their last six games. The Saints are coming off an abysmal performance which saw them fail to register a single point in a 13-0 loss to the 49ers in their last game. You’d have to go all the way back to 2002 for the last time New Orleans failed to get on the scoreboard.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers & New Orleans Saints Squad Analysis
The Bucs will be getting a big lift with the possible return of a number of players. Leonard Fournette is expected to play a part in this game as well as Russell Gage, Cam Brate and Luke Goedeke all on the offensive side of the ball. The only definite absence for the hosts will be tackle Tristan Wirfs. The Saints don’t have the same luck and will be without a few key players for this crucial divisional matchup. The most notable is tight end Juwan Johnson, who has been a key target for the Saints passing game with five touchdowns on the year. They will also be without safety P.J. Williams and defensive end Payton Turner on the defensive side of the ball.

Our Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints Prediction
We’re going to back the Tampa Bay Bucs to get the win and cover the -3.5 point spread as our bet for this one. There has been some interesting line movement, with this spread opening at -6.5 before being steamed down towards the Saints, likely in response to the Tristan Wirfs injury and the recent history between these two teams. However, despite the Bucs struggling on offense, they should be able to put up points against this Saints team that hasn’t done a good job at keeping their opponent off the scoreboard. The Saints will also have to worry about their ability to score enough points with their own offensive problems, especially when coming up against this stingy Tampa Bay defense.
