Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Kansas City Chiefs Prediction & Betting Tips - NFL

The NFL season reaches its climax as defending champions Kansas City Chiefs take on Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a certain Tom Brady.  The Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 1970 and had to wait half a century for their second triumph. A third may well happen just a year after the last one. You have to go back to the Super Bowl played in 2005 for the last time a team won a second successive Super Bowl. It was the New England Patriots who achieved that feat and the Chiefs have a good chance here. They comfortably won AFC West with a 14-2 record, six wins ahead of the Las Vegas Raiders. That included a 27-24 win at Tampa Bay last November. The Chiefs were the number one seeds in the AFC play-offs and took on the Cleveland Browns in the Divisional play-offs. A dominant second quarter that saw them score 13 points without reply was the key factor in their win. It was close though as Cleveland fought back in the second half (which saw Patrick Mahomes injured) to only lose by five points in the end. Mahomes was fit for the Chiefs in the AFC Championship match as they beat the Buffalo Bills 38-24. The first quarter was lost 9-0 but again the Chiefs were on top form in the second winning it 21-3 and taking charge. 

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers last won the Super Bowl 18 years ago. This season has seen them strengthen their squad considerably with the arrivals of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowsi. A lot was expected of them but after 12 games, they only had a 7-5 record. They probably weren't expecting to be in the Super Bowl when losing 38-3 at home to the New Orleans Saints in early November. The next four games were won though to see them finish second in the NFC South and seeded fifth for the play-offs. The wild card play-off round saw them defeat Washington 31-23. That was their first win in the play-offs since the year they won the Super Bowl. Revenge for that heavy loss to the Saints was achieved when they beat them in the Divisional play-offs 30-20. Four turnovers did the trick for the Buccaneers as that resulted in three touchdowns for them. The NFC Championship match saw them withstand a comeback from the Green Bay Packers to win 31.26. So now we have the dream Super Bowl with Mahomes v Brady. The simple fact is that the Chiefs are the best team in the NFL. That is going to be proved on Sunday, back them to retain their title.
